This study evaluated the stressors of student nurses of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Nabua, Camariness Sur, during the COVID 19 Pandemic among selected nursing students. The study utilized a purposive sampling method, wherein the whole population did not have the same chance of being chosen. The researchers used the descriptive-correlational method using a self-made questionnaire.
The results revealed that majority of the respondents are female, belonged to the age bracket of 21-23 and all of the respondents are single. The level of the stress of student nurses along academic, psychological and social were found to be stressful. In academic the most stressful factor is tons of homework, in psychological is confusion of setting priorities and in social is the RLE tuition fee. The intrinsic and extrinsic factors affect the level of stress of student nurses where the leading factor in intrinsic is anxiety and in extrinsic is loud noises. There is also no significant relationship between the profile age and sex and the level of stress of student along with academics, psychological and social.
A plan is being proposed to mitigate the stress of student nurses of CSPC. The study recommends a comprehensive and informative materials to raise awareness about the stressors that a student may experience, such as pamphlet or brochure to be distributed to the students. This can help educate the students, families and faculty member on the importance of health related issues and empower them to make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being.
