This study focused on identifying the challenges encountered by nursing students in their Related Learning Experience (RLE). The researchers surveyed 155 third-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. They were divided into sections A to E, each with 31 respondents, and were asked to complete a questionnaire to determine their profile in terms of age, sex, religion, family income, and area of clinical duty. Most students were female, Roman Catholic, aged 19-21, and had family incomes between 30,001 and 40,000 pesos. The majority of the respondents worked in hospitals during their clinical duties. The study aimed to find out the challenges students faced before, during, and after their RLE, what affected their performance, and how their personal details related to these challenges. The main issues were 'Waking up early' and 'Vehicle fees' before RLE, 'hard to read doctors' notes' during RLE, and 'RLE payment' and 'Workload' after RLE. These challenges had a significant impact on the students. Recommendations to help included having a regular sleep schedule, finding ways to understand doctors' notes, taking breaks during duties, and taking care of oneself. BSN faculty or clinical instructors should guide students with time management, offer guidance on how to read and interpret doctors' notes, and lastly, educate students on the importance of self-care. Parents were encouraged to help their child with sleep and self-care, while the college should provide financial aid and resources. For the future, researchers could study how technology helps, check the connection between students' mental health and challenges, and examine social and economic factors. Overall, the study shared insights into the problems nursing students face and ways to make things better.
