This study focuses on the design, installation, and operation of an Automatic Fire Sprinkler System (AFSS) for a green educational building at Central State Polytechnic College (CSPC) in Nabua, Camarines Sur. Its objective is to implement a system that ensures rapid fire suppression in line with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and the Fire Code of the Philippines. A wet pipe system was selected based on the building's Ordinary Hazard Group 2 classification and tropical climate. The design, compliant with NFPA 13 and NFPA 25, delivers 500 gallons per minute through a 30,000-gallon tank with a 60-minute capacity. The system comprises 186 sprinkler heads and incorporates alarms, including flow switches and smoke detectors. The installation was conducted by NFPA guidelines, resulting in a total project cost of P2,063,641.33. Regular maintenance, including NFPA 1911 pump testing and inspection for corrosion or blockage, ensures continued functionality and fire protection.
