Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BPED) - Physical Education. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2025. Abstract: This study investigated the complex factors influencing physical activity engagement among education students, a group often facing unique challenges in balancing academic demands with healthy lifestyles. Recognizing physical activity's crucial role in physical health, mental well-being, and academic success, this study aimed to identify the personal, socio-economic, environmental, policy, and institutional determinants that either promote or hinder participation. Employing a quantitative approach, data were be collected through a survey questionnaire, capturing variables such as motivation, access to resources, and institutional support, alongside specific barriers like unavailability of time and financial constraints. Beyond identifying these factors, the study also explored the level of physical activity on academic performance, mental well-being, and future health behaviors. Outcomes include actionable insights for educators, administrators, and policymakers, leading to targeted interventions and institutional strategies that foster sustained engagement in physical activity among education students. Crucially, this research also culminated in the development of Fit for Life: A Resource Guide to Physical Engagement and Exercise tailored specifically for education students. This guide provided practical tools, strategies, and accessible resources to help overcome identified barriers, promote active lifestyles, and integrate physical activity into daily routines. Ultimately, this study sought to create supportive environments and provide tangible tools that empower future educators to prioritize their health and serve as positive role models.
