This study aimed to determine the performance in the blended learning modality of the 86 randomly selected 2nd and 3rd year Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) students as inputs to an intervention program. A self-made validated questionnaire based on CMO 80, s.2017 was employed to assess academic performance in Discipline Knowledge, Movement Competencies and Proficiency, Creativity and Innovation, Critical and System Thinking, and Communication. Likewise, it attempted to determine the relationship between the grades eamed to students' academic performance.
In treating the data, statistical tools such as percentage, weighted mean, and ranking were used. The results, overall indicated that the majority of the students are highly performing in the competency areas. The data further revealed that the majority of the respondents were (a) 18 to 21 years old; (b) female; and (c) grades varied in the general, professional, and specialization courses. Challenges encountered were insufficient resources, outdated implementation of curriculum, poor facilities, physical limitations, coaching, limited exposure to diverse activities, lack of encouragement, and inadequate language skills. Conversely, the grades earned and the performance of the students were found to have no significant relationship. Lastly, an intervention program to improve the performance of the students was proposed.
