Proper filing practices in LGUs help streamline administrative processes, reducing redundancy and improving overall efficiency. Several best practices have been identified to improve abstract filing practices in LGUs. One key recommendation is the adoption of a standardized filing system, such as the Alphabetical, Geographical and Numerical, to ensure consistency and ease of retrieval. Studies have shown that a well-defined and uniform filling system significantly reduces the time spent searching for documents. Furthermore, proper labeling and indexing of abstract files are crucial. Clear and concise labels, along with a detailed index, enable employees to quickly locate specific documents without the need for extensive searching.
