This study examined the motivational factors that influence dance participation among students in Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. Dance as both a physical activity and a form of artistic expression, holds the potential to positively impact students' physical health, social relationships, and emotional well-being Through surveys with CSPC students, this research identified intrinsic and extrinsic motivations behind dance involvement. The results showed that intrinsic factors such as personal enjoyment, self-expression, and the desire for stress relief are major influences on students' decision to participate in dance. Extrinsic factors, like peer encouragement, recognition, and opportunities to perform, also contributed significantly. By understanding these motivating factors, CSPC can improve student engagement, promote holistic development, and increase participation in dance programs, thus contributing to the well-being of students The findings suggested that dance participation is challenging, with academic priorities, performance anxiety, and time constraints as the most significant barriers. The research also highlighted the importance of academic flexibility, with students noting that having time to participate in such activities encouraged their involvement. The study concluded with recommendations for CSPC should emphasize emotional and physical well-being, incorporating wellness initiatives that highlight the benefits of dance for mental health, fitness, and self-expression.
