This qualitative study aimed to determine the derivational and inflectional morpheme strengths and weaknesses of 6 learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in one of Bicol's public primary SPED schools. The researchers came up with two main questions in this study: (1) How is the performance of learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder along; Derivational and Inflectional morphemes?: a. What morphemes are written correctly by the learners? b. What morphemes are written incorrectly by the learners? (2) What teaching strategies are utilized by SPED teachers to strengthen the weaknesses of learners with ASD along; Inflectional and Derivational Morphemes'? Observations and document analysis were used for data gathering, and semi-structured interviews were used to support the data gathered. The obtained data indicate that learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder are better at using suffixes, prefixes, and inflectional affix -s but weaker at using inflectional affix -ed. Based on the findings, the researchers crafted an intervention material that can be used as activities about inflectional and derivational morphemes.
