It gives the foundation knowledge in digital system, microprocessor and computer architecture. In order the student to master the subject they must perform simulation and laboratory experiment to gain experience in handling integrated circuits. The student needs to observe and analyze signal behavior and verify principles. In a traditional classroom setup, students require several instruments, such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic probes, and voltmeters. These instruments are often expensive and difficult to acquire; consequently, some institutions cannot afford them. Furthermore, available equipment is sometimes old, obsolete, or lacks the necessary manuals. In addition, the equipment-to-student ratio is low, which is critical in hands-on learning. There is available laboratory equipment in the market, but the institution needs to buy it separately. The same time books and other instructional material is readily available but not connected to laboratory equipment. To solve these problems this study, develop LogiCiST Lab, a laboratory trainer with embedded digital instructional materials, laboratory manual and experiments that can be access using cellphone or laptop browsers. It also integrates laboratory instrument like oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic probes and voltmeter that can be access using webservers powered by the embedded microcontrollers. The LogiCiST Lab aims to improve laboratory accessibility and enhance the learning experience of students by providing a compact and cost-effective laboratory trainer. By combining instructional materials, laboratory manuals, and integrated measurement tools, the system supports both guided experiments and independent learning in digital logic education. | |
