520 3 _aThis study focuses on the gaps in implementing climate-resilient practices within Kadiwa stores to address food security in Bicol Region. There is a need to identify the risk across human resources, operations, finance, marketing, and climate resiliency of Kadiwa management. Another is that there are a lot of national policies created for climate change adaptation and mitigation of crops and farmers in agriculture, but there were limited policies for an enterprise like Kadiwa to be more resilient to climate risks, such as typhoons and flooding. Utilizing a mixed- methods methodology, data were collected from forty-four (44) Kadiwa stores respondents via interview and focus group discussion. The results were presented via a virtual meeting among the Kadiwa stores. The collected data were then analyzed using Likert Scale, Frequency, and Pearson Correlation, determining the management practices being adopted by the respondents and challenges encountered by the Kadiwa store. The major findings reveal that the identified challenges for human resource resilience are low worker insurance coverage, resulting in the seldom practiced human resources resilience, and participation in health and safety training programs. The identified challenges for climate change include greater access to climate information and the use of decision-support tools, as well as mechanization to increase production. These findings suggest that external economic pressures and environmental factors are increasingly affecting management practices and decision-making processes. Suggesting that the impact of climate resilience on business challenges requires further exploration. Thus, this new framework of SPARK (Sustainable Proactive Agribusiness for a more climate-resilient Kadiwa store) is subject to validation and testing of its effectiveness and efficiency. This paper will be submitted to the Department of Agriculture’s AMAD (Agri-Business and Marketing Assistance Division) in an attempt to help Kadiwa stores expand its source of food in the locality to attain regional food sufficiency.
