520 3 _aProject FITT: Its Effectiveness in Improving Physical Fitness Performance focuses on helping students improve their overall fitness through a structured and guided program. Physical fitness is important for maintaining good health and daily functioning, yet many students today engage in low levels of physical activity and exhibit uneven fitness levels. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Project FITT in improving the fitness performance of First-year Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) students enrolled in PATHFIT 2 at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. A quantitative approach using a quasi- experimental design was applied, utilizing pre-test and post-test assessments to measure students’ performance. A total of 46 students participated, and their fitness levels were evaluated using a standardized test covering both health-related and skill-related fitness components. The results showed that students initially had a generally satisfactory level of fitness, with strengths in muscular endurance and flexibility, while some components needed improvement. After the implementation of Project FITT, students’ fitness performance improved; however, only the health-related fitness components showed significant changes, while the skill-related components did not. Based on these findings, the study concludes that Project FITT is effective in improving students’ health-related fitness and can be used as a valid program in physical education, although further enhancement of skill-related activities is recommended.
