520 3 _aThe AutoLock: Web-Based Automatic Attendance System enhances security and au- tomates attendance tracking in the College of Computer Studies’ Learning Laboratory us- ing RFID technology and a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) algorithm for secure two-factor authentication. Built with Arduino MEGA 2560 and a web-based interface, the system logs entry and exit times automatically, featuring multi-factor authentication, real-time notifications, and user management via a secure MySQL database. The research employed a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of the study. Developed using Agile Method- ology, it meets functional and non-functional requirements, providing an efficient alterna- tive to manual tracking. Through Black Box Testing, system, functionality and usability were evaluated by end-users (students, faculty, administrators, and IT experts) with positive feedback. The gathered data from users were analyzed using the Arithmetic Mean. The evaluation results for the web system demonstrated a score of 0.97 (Highly Functional) across all conducted tests. Similarly, the door lock testing achieved an identical score of 0.97 (Highly Functional), reflecting its high level of performance and reliability. These re- sults confirm the system’s effectiveness with regular maintenance recommended to sustain optimal performance and ensure long-term reliability while minimizing potential issues.
