| 520 | 3 | _aThe research aimed to conduct a study on the behavior of Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges in the context of social media usage. The respondents of this study were two hundred eighty-eight BSOA students from first-year to fourth-year levels. Using a quantitative method, the researchers used tools such as percentage techniques, weighted mean, and Likert-scale to analyze the gathered data. The findings underscored that Facebook remains the predominant social media platform among students. Regarding the nature of social media usage, the study revealed that students frequently engage in these platforms for personal reasons, with a notable emphasis on social interaction. Evaluating the effect of social media on students' behavior, encompassing mental, social, intellectual, and emotional aspects, all indicators are interpreted as Agree. This implies that social media has a dual effect, influencing these behavioral aspects both positively and negatively. As an output of this study, the researchers proposed a guide aimed at promoting awareness of the risks associated with social media. The guide is designed to assist students in utilizing social media platforms more efficiently, fostering a positive and safe online environment. This study contributes valuable insights into the ongoing behavior of BSOA students in the realm of social media and offers practical recommendations for enhancing their online experiences. | |
