520 3 _aSelf-confidence plays an important role in the healthcare environment, and the quality of being confident in providing safe healthcare management should start as early as being student nurses. Previous studies have shown the simulation exercises help to improve the confidence of nursing students. However, there are some instances that influence their performance in healthcare delivery and since every person is different in their own ways, the skills and ability to critical thinking of students may also vary. Contrary to what has often been assumed, this paper attempts to study the perceived self-confidence among student nurses of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges to measure their confidence, the factors, and test the significance between the two. Concerning the duration of this study, the study runs from August 2023 to May 2024. Given the huge population of nursing students in Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, only 93 were selected to participate in data gathering procedure. Percentage technique, weighted mean, Likert scale, and spearman correlation were also used for statistical treatment to come up with the results. With our findings, it indicates that the majority of the respondents are between 21-22 years old, females, first born, have monthly family income of P10,000 and below, and are Roman Catholic. It also reveals that the respondents are confident about their knowledge, skills, and attitude but, there is still a need for improvement in other areas as some showed "less confident". The null hypothesis is rejected and interpreted as a significant relationship concluding that there is a significant relationship between the perceived level of confidence and the factors affecting the self-confidence of student nurses. Given these findings, the researchers' proposed to enhance the self-confidence of student nurses through informational materials to address the issue. These results underscore the importance of considering self-confidence and highlight the need for targeted interventions to help student nurses gain greater self-awareness, improved decision-making, and enhanced personal and professional growth.
