520 3 _aNew nursing graduates face a sudden change in environment and responsibilities as they take a role in the nursing profession. Consequently, difficulties and challenges may arise and affect their views of their career. This study investigates the Readiness of the New Nursing Graduates from the Camarines Sur Polytechnic College in transitioning towards beginning nursing. A total of eighty-six (86) newly graduated nursing students of Batch 2022 from the aforementioned school participated in the study by means of a structured questionnaire. Moreover, this study utilizes a descriptive correlational research design to depict relationships among variables under study. Statistical tools such as percentage technique, weighted mean, Spearman's Rho, and Kendall's coefficient of concordance were used in analyzing and treating the gathered data. Findings of the study indicates that new graduate nurses (NGNs) are ready and perceive themselves equipped with sufficient knowledge, skills, and attitude to transition toward beginning nurses. Nonetheless, challenges such as fear of embarrassment and failure, environmental stress, and work culture occur throughout their transition phase. The study further revealed a significant correlation between the respondent's General Weighted Average and challenges the NGNs faced. Results of this study implicates the crucial role of the student and the institutions in the production of professionally well-prepared BSN graduates. Furthermore, this study can aid in providing supervision for future graduates and assist them to enhance their readiness and minimize the possible challenges that they may encounter once they are the one under the process of transition.
