520 3 _aSolar energy offers multifaceted benefits, establishing itself as a crucial solution to escalating global energy demands and environmental concerns. Environmentally, it's a clean source, emitting no greenhouse gases, thereby mitigating climate change, reducing air pollution, and fostering sustainable development. Economically, solar power provides substantial long-term savings through reduced electricity bills and protection against volatile energy prices, while simultaneously stimulating job creation and innovation within the industry. Societally, it enhances energy independence and security, particularly vital for institutions in regions with unreliable grids, ensuring stable power critical for modern learning environments and improved educational outcomes. This study specifically addresses the challenge of designing an efficient and sustainable on-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) system for Academic Building V at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC). The core problem involves reducing reliance on fossil fuels and providing consistent electricity to an educational institution. The design process entails thoroughly characterizing the building's electrical loads and roof features for optimal energy capture. Furthermore, it necessitates determining the comprehensive financial requirements, including material and labor costs, to ensure the system is robust and economically viable. The ultimate objective is to provide a stable power supply, significantly reduce energy expenses, and contribute to a greener environment for the academic community.
