Their general state of well-being is greatly impacted by how they manage stress. The researchers investigated the impact of stress well-being on the academic performance of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing students of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, such as the physical, mental, spiritual, and social aspects of a person, as well as its effect on the student's academic performance. The respondents are from Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for the 2022-2023 academic year. There are 1431 students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Level I through IV combined. A questionnaire served as the main data collection instrument for this study, and the researchers used a descriptive-correlational methodology. As the forms were retrieved, all of the data was tallied and compiled. The tools used were the Weighted Mean, the Percentage Technique, and the Chi-Square test for independence. The majority of the resporidents are female, financial support system comes from their parents, and have a family monthly income of Php 10,000 to 24,999, and most of the respondents are 20 years old, first year students, middle children in the family. In terms of intrinsic factors, anxiety related to exams and grades is the major cause of stress for nursing students; issues with time management and workload balancing are the major cause of stress for the extrinsic factors. There is a moderate impact of stress on the academic performance of the students. The profile age, sex, year level, ordinal position, financial support system, and family monthly income showed that there is no significant relationship between knowledge, skills, and attitude. In terms of the relationship between factors that cause stress and the impact of stress, some of the factors are not significantly related. The proposed plan can help mitigate the impact of stress on the academic performance of the students. | |
