520 3 _aThis study aims to determine The Effects of Internet Connectivity on the Academic Performance of Bachelor of Science in Office Administration Students of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges Buhi Campus. It seeks to answer the following questions (1.) To determine the profile of the BSOA students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges in terms of (a.) age (b.) gender (c.) year level (d.) socio-economic status (e.) geographical area (f.) internet connection. (2). The factors affect the speed of internet connectivity in terms of (a.) service provider (b.) devices they use. (3.) The factors encountered by the students involving internet connectivity that affects their academic performance in terms of (a.) learning interest (b.) class performance. (4.) Proposed possible solutions that can be recommended to address this problem. The methodology used was descriptive research method. The conclusion drawn from the study are (1.) Profile of the BSOA students of Camarines Sur Polytechnic College (a) majority of the respondents are female (b.) majority of the respondents are at the age bracket of 18-20 years old (c.) majority of the respondents are in middle class (d.) majority of the respondents are living in rural area (e.) majority of the respondents has low internet connection (f.) majority of the respondents has a 2.0 and above average grade last semester. (2.) The factors affect the sped of internet connectivity (a.) service provider, shows that they are experiencing difficulty in terms of service provider due to slow internet connection and it shows that they have difficulty in submitting projects, activity, and assignments due to low internet connection (b) for deices they are using, it shows that the devices they use are not effective for them to get along in all online learning and academic activities. And it shows that they are not literate enough when it comes to digital skills. (3.) Factors encountered by the students involving internet connectivity that affects their academic performance. (a) learning interest shows that low internet connection affects the academic performance of the students. And it shows that good internet connection can be effective and contribute for the development of interest in online learning of students. (b.) General Weighted Average, shows that they have less productivity, has difficulty in reaching high grade, they are less active in academic performance, due to low internet connection. The respondents proposed recommendations.
