520 3 _aThis study determined the factors affecting students' fear of speaking English in class participation. This paper tries to assess the factors affecting student's fear of speaking English language in class participation of the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration first year students' along with the Internal Factors (Lack of Confidence, Pronunciation, Fear of Mistakes) and External Factors (Family Orientation, Training, Response to Speech Class), the perceived level of class participation of students along with the onsite class participation and off-site class participation, the proposed output to reduce the fear of speaking English language in class of the first year Bachelor of Science in Office Administration students. Sixty (60) Bachelor of Science in Office Administration first year students' in three sections, who were voluntary, served as the respondents. The Quantitative Method was used to attain the objectives. The instruments used in this study was a research-made survey questionnaire for data collection and was interpreted using weighted mean. The result showed that the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration first year student agreed that they were affected by the internal and external factors affect students speaking English more than the onsite and off-site participation. Moreover, the proposed output to reduce the fear of speaking English and some recommendations are very helpful for helping the students' to enhance and improve their speaking skills to have an excellent performance in class participation.
