520 3 _aWith increasing environmental risks through global change processes such as climate change and other natural disaster, planned relocation is now widely practiced as a necessary or potentially effective intervention for vulnerable communities (Nino, 2017). Under Article 51 of the Presidential Decree No. 1067, otherwise known as "The Water Code of the Philippines", Salvage Zone is defined as "the zone of three (3) meters in urban areas, twenty (20) meters in agricultural areas and forty (40) meters in forest areas, along their margins, subject to the easement of public use in the interest of recreation, navigation, floatage, fishing and salvage. No person shall be allowed to stay in this zone longer than what is necessary for recreation, navigation, floatage, fishing or salvage or to build structures of any kind". On the account of the abovementioned facts. The researchers proposed a Socialized Relocation Site at Itangon, Bula Camarines Sur. This is a collaborative project involvement between the Researchers and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bula, primarily the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO). The scope of the proposed design includes three (3) types of single-family dwellings; a Duplex, Rowhouse and Single-Detached. This study focused on the design of socialize housing relocation site that will address the needs of housing settlement at coastal area particularly the households that are within the salvage zone, promote the culture of Bula by using bamboo (Bula) themed features for the design of the housing units, and to laydown price offers depending on the affordability level of the target beneficiaries. In order to realize the objectives of the study, demographic profile of the informal settlers and design parameters of the proposed site were acquired, and from the data gathered the researchers were able to design the Site Developmental Plan, Architectural Plan, Structural Plan, Electrical Layout and Plumbing I zayout that that conforms to the Revise Internal Rules and Regulations of the Batas Pambansa 220 Rule II Minimum Design Standards and Requirements for Socialized Housing. Subsequently, the cost for three housing types; Duplex, Row House and Single Detached House were estimated and compared based on their affordability level. Furthermore, a survey was conducted to for the affected households which focuses whether the respondents are willing to leave the area and transfer to a better residential site, willing to avail the new housing program of the LGU Bula and willing to Amortize the unit under specific terms.
