Being able to speak with correct grammatical structures is an asset. People who are occupying high positions in society, such as managers and leaders, are mostly people who can manipulate the language because they are confident enough about their knowledge of the grammar rules and how to use them appropriately. Success in school, work, and everyday transactions often boils down to good communication skills in both writing and speech. A communication skill is not a matter of memorizing the set of rules or acquisition of a huge vocabulary. The effort of a teacher should not be denoted to informing students about a language but to enabling them to use this correctly. One should have a good grasp of standard English, such as standard rules of grammar, punctuation, and usage, to be able to communicate effectively.
