Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSIT) - Information Technology. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2024. Abstract: This research focuses on developing a web management system integrating RFID and fingerprint verification to enhance secure access control and automate attendance tracking in the CS laboratory. Addressing issues like slow, error-prone manual recording, limited data storage, and security vulnerabilities, the system allows students to seamlessly record their attendance via RFID cards while faculty and administrators authenticate access us- ing fingerprint scans. The project followed the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, emphasizing user collaboration, frequent iterations, and continuous testing to ensure a user- centered solution. Data was gathered through interviews and surveys with CSPC students and IT experts, analyzed using the Arithmetic Mean, and evaluated through black-box test- ing, including system, acceptance, and security testing. The integration, performance, ac- ceptance, and security testing were completed in iterations, and the results showed that the system was completely functional, highly acceptable, and had a low risk of any issues, with an overall result of 1.00. The results showed significant improvements in efficiency and security, leading to the development of a Web Management System, a modern solution recommended for broader use to enhance attendance, security, and resource management in educational facilities.
