Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis (BSOA)- Office Administration Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2024. Abstract: Parents are the first teachers where learning is first conceived, at home. They form an integral role in molding a child, they are responsible of inculcating virtues, providing them with basic needs and letting their children feel the warmth of having a supportive family anchored in compassion and inclusivity. This paper tries to assess the level of parental involvement on Senior High School students career decision-making, thus identifying the profile of students in terms of age, gender, family set-up, birth order, number of siblings and socioeconomic status. This study also included the profile of the parents in terms of their educational attainment and employment. The perceived level of parental involvement on student's career decision-making along financial support, moral support, career exploration and career choices. This study presents an action plan to improve the level of parental involvement. Ninety-five (95) Senior High School students from Tambo National High School who were systematically chosen and twenty (20) parents who were chosen randomly, served as the respondents. The Descriptive Exploratory Method was used to attain the objectives. The instrument used in this study was a research-made survey questionnaire and semi-structured interview for data collection and was interpreted using weighted mean. The result showed that proves parents are actually involved in terms of supporting their children on financial matters, Results also revealed that moral support is evidently felt by the students in terms of their responses. Furthermore, the study proves that parents are present and is guiding their children during their career exploration processes. Parents encourage their children to follow their own career aspirations amidst their expectations on their children's career, as found. However, lower ranking indicators had also been identified based on the results, which led to the proposition of an action plan that covers various extension activities to equip parents and guardians with comprehensive knowledge, skills and resources to provide holistic support (financial, moral and career) to their children, enhancing student success and well-being.
