Manual document filing is not an easy task and contributes to man-made errors in an effective document management. That is why even small businesses are now implementing automation in day-to-day business operation. The sales management system developed for Zuñiga's gravel and sand trading aims to automate the manual operations in the record section, transaction area, computation of sales and inventory to speed up the process and to improve productivity. Extreme programming is used as software development methodology in this study. Total enumeration and convenience sampling was used to identify the respondents of the study. Mixed-method research design is applied in gathering both quantitative and qualitative data. As for system evaluation, functional, user acceptance and performance testing through black-box approach was conducted. Functional testing was conducted by letting five (5) IT experts test the system using test cases. Meanwhile, JMeter is used to test the system performance. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted using arithmetic mean. The results of data gathering shows that the existing problems in manual business process are difficulty to manage, time-consuming, high-cost paper maintenance, inaccurate and miscalculation, and unsellable products. In terms of the results of functional testing and user acceptance testing, the system was completely functional with an average result of 1.0. As for performance, the system can perform even heavy workloads. Due to the problems encountered by the business, the researchers concluded and recommended that the development of sales management system be adopted and reduce possibility of encountering problems.
