Undergraduate Thesis (BSOA)- Office Administration Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2023.
This research aimed to determine the impact of inflation on the vendors at the public market in Buhi Camarines Sur. The respondents of this study were sixty vendors at the public market at Sta. Elena, Buhi, Camarines Sur. In conducting the study, the researchers use descriptive methods and utilize different statistical tools such as percentage and weighted mean to interpret the data gathered. Findings showed that in terms of the business profiles of the vendors, such as types of business, source of capital, starting capital, and also the number of years as a vendor. The majority of the respondents 36 or 60 percent belonged to food and beverages, and the respondents of source of capital was 42 or 70 percent, the majority of starting capital with 15 respondents out of 60. The impact of inflation on the vendors in the public market revealed that most of the vendor respondents says that they have more than 11 years in business as a vendor with a total of 31.6 weighted mean. Also, the factors of inflation experienced by the vendors at the Buhi public market they prefer to satisfy the customer need with any products and with its price with a 4.1 weighted mean. The impact of the inflation on the vendors at the Buhi public market they say that in marketing they prefer to customer response positively to marketing promotions with a 3.75 weighted mean. The factors of inflation experienced by the vendors can cause the prices of goods and services to rise over time, they also have an impact on the marketing they need to find innovative ways to attract customer and maintain their market share. They need to consider offering discounts and promotions for their product offerings to stay competitive.
