Dissertation note: Undergraduate Theses (BSN) - Nursing. Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, 2024. Abstract: Related Learning Experiences are important to the training process as it enables student nurses to apply what is learned in class in real-world clinical settings. These experiences are essential for the development of competent and confident student nurses who can manage patients' various and dynamic needs in all kinds of healthcare settings. Related Learning Experiences exposes student nurses to real-world scenarios that challenge them to use their knowledge, skills, and critical thinking. The aimed of this study was to assess the challenges and strategies that student nurses encounter throughout their Related Learning Experiences. The study utilized a descriptive survey method to gather data using questionnaires among the 200 respondents that were selected at random from second to fourth year students of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. The quantitative method facilitates the systematic collection of data and this study uses the weighted mean and a four-point Likert scale. Calculating the weighted mean allows us to give weight to different aspects in order to acquire a better understanding of the effects on the context at issue. Also, by using four-point Likert scale-based measurements, the experiences can be thoroughly examined, including participants perceptions of the many topics under study. The results show that the majority of the respondents of this study are within the age group of 18-23 years of age, with females as the majority of its respondents, mostly second-year students, and have 10,000 and below monthly income. The study show that physical challenges have the largest impact on students learning experiences, followed by psychological, financial, and spiritual challenges. For strategies, physical strategies are very effective in coping with the challenges, followed by spiritual, psychological, social, and financial strategies, which are moderately effective in coping with the challenges encountered by the student nurses.
