Most of Filipino farmers and rural communities depend on the coconut business, which has long been an essential component of the Philippine economy. The procedure of extracting the meat from the shell, which is often done by hand, is one of the most time consuming aspects of processing coconuts. In order to make this process simpler, quicker, and less taxing on farmers and small scale producers, this study presents a semi-automatic coconut meat and shell separation. A bench drill, a three phase motor, a speed reducer, and a universal chuck were among the basic electrical components and locally accessible materials used in the machine's design. Performance in terms of cost, speed, and dependability was evaluated. The machine provides constant performance over longer periods of time, according to the results, even though manual separation is still faster in the near term. When weariness sets in, manual labor tends to slowdown, but machine work keeps at a steady pace. Long term use revealed certain problems, like elevated motor temperature and vibration, which suggest that better cooling and stability features are required. The machine is an economical and useful option for small companies with a total fabrication cost of about 14,867. It can contribute to more effective copra production, better working conditions, and a decrease in physical effort it is advised to make additional advancements such as automation on using microcontrollers or PLC, protective enclosure, and noise reduction. Overall, this project aims to support coconut farmers offering a more sustainable and accessible technology that can improve their daily operations and quality of life.
