This study presents the design, development, and evaluation of a small-scale centrifugal phase separator aimed at extracting oil from pili pulp emulsion. The need for improved efficiency in natural oil extraction processes has motivated the exploration of centrifugal separation as an alternative to traditional, energy-intensive methods. The proposed device integrates a conical separator design, an ESP32-based control system, and various sensors to monitor fluid levels and ensure precise separation. Experimental tests reveal that while lower rotational speeds yield a greater quantity of oil, higher speeds result in faster processing with slightly enhanced purity. Trade-offs between yield, quality, and processing time are discussed, and recommendations for optimizing separation parameters are provided.
