The study aimed to develop a LockUp that can minimize the problem encountered by the MAC laboratory Instructors, Laboratory In-charge, students in terms of security. The specific objectives of this study are to develop LockUp: A Door Lock with a Numeric Keypad and Fingerprint Scanner to enhance the security of the equipment, data, and per- sonal belongings within the MAC Laboratory of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) at CSPC, while also making the laboratory manager and instructors’ lives easier. The study employs a mixed method approach, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research strategies. In gathering the data, the researchers used interview while questionnaires as tools to evaluate the LockUp acceptability. The questionnaires were distributed to the MAC Laboratory In-charge, instructors with the same set of questions. A formal and informal in- terview was conducted which ensures that the real problem was identified. The system was evaluated through Black Box testing, and survey questionnaires to assess its functionality and usability. With overall results of Unit Testing for Laboratory In-charge and Instructors, an over all result of 1.00 (Completely Functional) and for IT Expert achieved a score of 0.98 (Completely Functional), while the Performance Testing got an overall result of 1.00 (Completely Functional). The result demonstrate that the system enhance the laboratory security and served convenience to the Instructor and laboratory In-charge.
