The system optimizes irrigation, reduces water waste, and enhances crop yields under resource-limited conditions. It consists of an Arduino Uno microcontroller, relay module, water pump, soil moisture sensors, and an LCD for real-time monitoring. The threshold algorithm turns on the pump at an appointed level of moisture depletion and switches it off on reestablishment, reducing direct intervention. The system (Plot A) was tested against traditional irrigation methods (Plot B), which often lead to overwatering due to fixed schedules. Test results showed the automated system achieved an irrigation effi- ciency of 80%, with 16 out of 20 cases maintaining optimal moisture, compared to just 20% efficiency in traditional methods. These results indicate significant water conserva- tion, reduced labor, and consistent soil moisture maintenance, leading to improved pechay productivity. The system offers benefits such as significant water savings, labor reduction, and scalability for larger operations. However, financial constraints in rural areas may limit adoption. Future work should focus on expanding sensor range, integrating advanced tech- nologies, and exploring alternative energy sources to enhance affordability and accessibility for resource-poor farmers.1 aLlaban, Jerome L.,eauthor.1 aBañel, John Kenneth B.,eauthor. aFortuno, Kaela Marie N.,eadviser. aOñate, Joseph Jessie S.,echair, panelist. aIbo, Allan Jr. O.,epanelist. aManlapaz, Shiela Dona S.,epanelist.
