This study investigated the prevalence of academic procrastination among Level II and III nursing students of the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), focusing on contributing factors, coping mechanisms, and demographic influences. Utilizing a descriptive-cross-sectional design, data were collected via structured questionnaires from 309 students selected through stratified random sampling. Statistical analyses, including the Four-point Likert Square and Chi-Square Test of Independence, assessed relationships between variables. Findings revealed high prevalence rates of procrastination, driven primarily by intrinsic factors such as mental fatigue, stress, and anxicty, alongside extrinsic factors like social media distractions and unconducive study environments. Coping strategies included time management, peer support, and relaxation techniques like music. Notably, demographic variables such as age, sex, year level, study hours, and extracurricular involvement showed no significant correlation with procrastination tendencies, underscoring the dominance of psychological and environmental influences. The study concludes that academic institutions should prioritize interventions targeting self-regulation, digital distraction mitigation, and stress management to reduce procrastination. Recommendations include integrating time-management workshops, peer accountability programs, and accessible Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to foster proactive academic habits.
