"The book "Manufacturing Practices" or "Workshop Practice" has been prepared for the B.Tech students of all branches of engineering and technology studying in technical universities and colleges connected with All India Council for Technical Education. It is an introductory course and can be useful to degree and diploma students of engineering and technology studying in India and abroad. The book introduces various manufacturing processes commonly employed in the industry, to fabricate components using different materials. A large number of theory questions and objective type questions have been added at the end of each chapter.
The book also contains practicals for various laboratories prescribed. A large number of questions for viva voce have been listed at the end of each laboratory. It is hoped that students will be able to fabricate components and assemble them to produce small devices"-- Preface of the book.
