This study focused on determining the effectiveness of clinical exposure on the competence and adaptability among student nurses of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. A total of 205 level four Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) participated in this study with a descriptive, cross- sectional design using a questionnaire checklist. They were asked to answer the sent questionnaire to determine their profile in terms of age, sex, religion, ordinal number in the family, and monthly family income. The study aimed to find out the level of competence of the respondents along with knowledge, skills, attitude as well as the factors in terms of Student- related, Clinical environment and Institutional or Educational affecting the effectiveness of clinical exposure on the adaptability among the student nurses. The results highlighted that majority of the respondents were Roman Catholic, Female, and 22-23 years old. Mostly were first born and had family incomes between ₱21,194 to P43,828. The findings also showed a strong level of clinical competence among students, with high ratings in knowledge, skills, and attitude. and it was found out that student-related factors, clinical setting related factors, and institutional/educational factors affect the adaptability of the student nurses during clinical exposure, whereas the main concern was student preparedness, clinical learning environment, and institutional development. Recommendation to enhance level of competence included improving knowledge regarding anatomy and physiology through clinical exposure, developing confidence to handle emergency scenarios, and implementing stress management. Enhancing student nurses' collaboration skills, confidence in application of theoretical knowledge, time management, ensuring a supportive and hands-on experience, and lastly, faculty engagement, and curriculum alignment with clinical requirements are recommended to help in problems affecting the effectiveness of clinical exposure on the adaptability.
