The study included the profile of the respondents (age, sex, religion, ordinal status, and monthly income), assessed the level of self-esteem based on Coopersmith Self Esteem Inventory (general self-esteem, social self-esteem, home-parent relation, and school academic competence) and analyzed the factors affecting academic performance (family concern, social concern, and time concern). Two hundred thirty-six second- year and third-year BSOA students participated. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, utilizing a survey questionnaire administered through pen and paper survey and Google Forms. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, Likert scales, weighted means, and rank-ordered method were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that majority of the respondents belong to the age bracket of 18−20 years old, female dominated, Roman Catholic, most common number of siblings was five within family size and was first born dominated and had a monthly income of below ₱21,193.00. General self-esteem, social self- esteem, home-parent relations, and school-academic competence influence students' self-esteem levels, leading to a significantly below-average level as assessed by the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory. Among the three factors affecting academic performance, time concern had the most significant positive impact. Motivation, social engagements, mental well-being, positive experiences, family expectations, encouragement, and time management were identified as crucial factors shaping students' self-esteem and academic performance. An action plan would be implemented to address the identified issues, ultimately enhancing students' self-esteem and academic achievement, and promoting improved learning outcomes for BSOA students.1 aSalvilla, Charmae Jian D.,eauthor.1 aSilvano, Jannah Mae P.,eauthor. aFiguracion, Leny O.,eadviser. aHallare, Syrell M.,echair, panelist. aFederis, Melany C.,epanelist. aEstrebello, Genevie A.,epanelist.
