Business writing is a critical competency for both students and professionals. It is crucial communication skill that is essential for both the academic and professional career and success. This study is aimed to identify the factors affecting the efficiency in business writing of the BSOA students using descriptive correlational research method. It aimed to identify the profile of the respondents, their level of efficiency in business writing, the factors affecting their efficiency in business writing, the significant relationship of the level of efficiency and the factors affecting the efficiency. The researchers proposed an intervention plan based on the findings of the study. Data were gathered from 253 respondents using simple random sampling as sampling procedure, survey questionnaire for gathering data, and percentage, weighted mean, and Likert scales were utilized to analyze and interpret the gathered data. The results of the profile shows that majority of the respondents are 18-21 years old, predominantly are females, and are on the second-year level. On the other hand, the level of efficiency in business writing result shows that the respondents are efficient in terms of organization, spelling and grammar, and clarity and style. However, findings along the factors affecting the efficiency in business writing revealed that respondents find difficulty in the area such as organization, spelling and grammar, and clarity and style. To minimize and mitigate these factors, researchers present an intervention plan such as training and workshops, peer mentoring and tutorial sessions, and curriculum integrated activities that will help enhance and promote the efficiency level of the respondents in business writing specifically along organization, spelling and grammar, clarity and style.
