This study examined the factors influencing the BSOA students from taking civil service examination, which was guided by answering the demographic profile of the respondents which includes Age, Sex, Year Level, and Family Monthly Income, the factors that influence the respondents from taking the CSE along with Student Factor, Family Factor, School Factor, and Social Factor, the significant difference between the demographic profile of the respondents and the factors, and an action plan that was proposed to encourage BSOA students to participate in the CSE. The hypothesis shows that there is no significant difference between demographic profile and the factors influencing students from taking civil service examinations. The researchers utilized the Descriptive Design Method. The results showed that most of the respondents belonged to an age bracket of 20-22 years old, mostly dominated by female respondents, coming from 2nd year level and have a family monthly income below Php 10,000; All of the factors were Very Influential to the respondents from taking the civil service examination, with the school factor influence the most. There was no significant difference between the age, sex and year level and the influencing factors; however, family monthly income specifically earning 70,000 above was found to have significant difference to school factors .; The recommendations are the conduct of seminar, encouragement program, CSE orientation, and peer review session.
