Breast cancer is the most common diagnosis among cancer patients, who are mostly female. Breast cancer rates are higher in the NCR, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao. The terrifying aspect of this disease is that breast cancer is difficult to diagnose in its early stages. Consequently, when a woman is diagnosed with this type of cancer the tumor has already advanced. As a result, breast cancer has one of the highest fatality rates among all cancers. The majority of Camarines Sur Polytechnic College employees are female, it is critical to assess their awareness, perception and attitude about breast cancer as a precaution necessary to reduce the risk of acquiring breast cancer. This study determines the Breast Cancer Awareness of Female Employees in Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Nabua, Camarines Sur. Their profiles considered are age, civil status, religion, and designation/position. More so, the respondent's knowledge about breast cancer along with potential risk factor and signs and symptoms; breast cancer attitude; and breast cancer preventive practices along with self-breast examination (SBE) and clinical breast examination (CBE) was determined. This study employed a descriptive-correlational method with a questionnaire as the main instrument for collecting data. The respondents of this study were delimited to 206 regular and part time female employees from different departments in the institution and not included those outsourced by the school. A plan was proposed to enhance the Breast Cancer Awareness of Female Employees in Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Nabua, Camarines Sur.
