<subfield code="a">The researchers conducted this study to determine the preferred areas of specialization among Level 4 Student Nurses of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges. At the same time, to identify the factors that influence the student nurses in considering a nursing specialization. The respondents of this study were 103 student nurses which was the total population of Level 4 pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The study sought answers regarding the profile of the respondents, their preferred area of specialization, the significant relationship between the respondents' profile and preferred area of specialization, and the plan proposed to guide the Level 4 Student Nurses in their preferred area of specialization. The descriptive-correlational design was used in the study and the researchers utilized a questionnaire-checklist tool via Google forms. The statistical tools used to analyze the data were the percentage technique, weighted mean, and Chi-square test

The study revealed that the most preferred area of specialization among the respondents is Emergency Care Nursing & Critical Care Nursing, followed by Medical-Surgical Nursing. The most common factors influencing the preferred area of specialization are personal interest and passion, working environment, knowledge and comprehension, & career development and future prospects. Moreover, the findings of the study show significant relationship between preferred area of specialization and profile in terms of sex assigned at birth but not in other biographic data are: Maternal Care Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Emergency Care Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, and Rehabilitation Nursing. Meanwhile, the area of specialization that shows a significant relationship between preferred area of specialization and profile in terms of age but not in other biographic data is Institutional Nursing. On the other hand, there is no significant relationship between preferred area of specialization and respondents' profile in areas of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community & Public Health Nursing, Nephrology Nursing, and Occupational Nursing. Overall, the findings of this study may help to improve the level of understanding and competence of Level 4 Student Nurses. As well as, this may motivate, encourage and help to them to pursue ana area of specialization that suits their abilities, knowledge and skills.</subfield>
