The machine uses a planetary gear configuration which allows it to extract five lug nuts at a time hence substantially reducing the physical, as well as the temporal requirement typically required by traditional approaches. A combination of careful material selection, engineering design and the performance testing showed that the prototype performed with sufficient flexibility in its operational functionality, and took less time than 60% in removing tires. In this regard, the innovation is a viable, effective solution to the problems of mechanics and automotive drivers that are relevant especially in the Philippines where there are urgent issues of maintenance and roadside assistance in consideration of the increasing traffic condition and aspiring vehicle ownership.1 aBerido, Mark Florence S.eauthor.1 aBolalin, Neil Justin C.eauthor.1 aCatangui, Gabriel M.eauthor.1 aTesorero, Kim Z.eauthor. aDimanarig, Edriane Jay L.eadviser. aLayson, Alexander Ian Reyechair, panelist. aMagistrado, Srya Lyn B.epanelist. aPeregrino, Precious Grace F.epanelist.
