This quantitative study evaluated the clinical leadership and management competencies of head nurses and their influence on the organizational productivity of Bicol Medical Center. A descriptive correlational design was employed, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. Respondents included 137 head nurses, 20 nurse supervisors, and 230 staff nurses from Bicol Medical Center. The data were analyzed using percentage distribution, weighted mean, and the Kruskal-Wallis test. The findings showed that the majority of head nurses are between 31 and 40 years old, female, married, hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and have served in their role for two years or less. Head nurses were found to be proficient in clinical leadership and management competencies, as perceived by themselves, nurse supervisors, and staff nurses. These competencies were seen to have a significant influence on organizational productivity, particularly in enhancing communication channels. Additionally, the study revealed that the clinical leadership and management skills of head nurses are influenced by both internal and external factors, which in turn affect organizational productivity at Bicol Medical Center. A significant difference was found in the perception of these competencies between head nurses, their supervisors, and staff nurses. Based on these findings, a proposed plan was recommended to further strengthen the clinical leadership and management skills of head nurses, ultimately improving the organizational productivity of the Bicol Medical Center. aManagement. aOrganizational change. 2Naga City aFucio, Modesto P.eadviser. aRivera, Marilyn N.echair, panelist. aPacer, Grace E.epanelist. aFajardo, Luzviminda A.epanelist.
