This study explores the correlates of board examination performance among electrical engineering students at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC). It aims to examine the correlations between academic performance, pre-board examination results, and performance on the licensure examination for electrical engineering graduates of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges from the years 2022-2023 using variables such as EEPS, ESAS, and MATH. Specifically, it investigates how academic performance and pre-board exam scores correlate with success in the licensure exam. A descriptive research approach was used to gather and analyze quantitative data from electrical engineering students who took both their pre-board and licensure exams. The data was examined using statistical methods to better understand the connections between academic performance, pre-board exam results, and licensure exam results. Through statistical analysis, the study determines the area or subjects that the graduates struggle with to help the future board exam takers know what specific area they need to improve their knowledge and understanding to get high or average performance in the future. The findings revealed that the Board Examination performance of the graduates in the subject Electrical Engineering Professional Subjects remain stable in years 2022 and 2023. These means that graduates are consistently performed well in both years in this subject. In the subject Engineering Science and Allied Subject, Graduates shows improvement coming from 2.0372 in 2022 to 1.9538 in 2023 indicating the best performing among the three subjects. However, the performance of the graduates in Mathematics subjects shows a decline from 2.1533 in 2022 to 2.2038 in 2023, it only suggests that graduates faced more difficulties in this subject. The updated results confirmed that PBR, MATH B, ESAS B, and EEPS B significantly influenced licensure exam performance, with all p-values below 0.05. The negative coefficient of PBR (-0.0458) reinforced its inverse relationship with performance, while ESAS B (0.5388) and EEPS B (0.2660) emerged as the strongest positive predictors. The revised model demonstrated better explanatory power and statistical reliability. The model summary further validated the strength of the refined regression model. The multiple regression coefficient indicated a strong positive relationship between the predictor variables and licensure exam performance. Additionally, the coefficient of determination suggested that 91.9% of the variation in exam performance was explained by the selected independent variables. These results confirm that the regression model effectively captures the key predictors influencing licensure exam success. With a sample size of 39, the statistical analysis was conducted on a sufficient dataset, ensuring the reliability of the findings. The results provide valuable insights for school, educators, and students in improving academic strategies and institutional support to enhance board examination performance. The study concludes that a combination of strong academic preparation, effective review programs, and supportive learning environments can significantly improve board examination results. Recommendations include curriculum enhancements, targeted interventions for struggling students, and the development of comprehensive review strategies to maximize student success. Our study highlights the importance of focusing on this area to help students improve their chances of success on the licensure examination.1 aManaog, Rea R.eauthor.1 aFlorece, Kristian A.eauthor.1 aAballa, Danica Georgeeauthor.1 aDiaz, John Brianeauthor. aPontillas, Virginia V.eadviser. aBarandon, Seth B.echair, panelist. aTerano, Harold Jan R.epanelist. aIsaac, Victor-Solito DR.epanelist.
