Adolescent mental health has become a growing concern, particularly in the context of school environments. With increasing challenges faced by adolescents, school-based mental health programs have emerged as a critical intervention. This study assessed the implementation of school-based mental health programs in promoting resilience among adolescents in the municipality of Bato, Catanduanes. Descriptive-correlation research design was used, involving 290 senior high school students and teachers from three secondary schools in Bato. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using percentage technique, weighted mean, and chi-square test of independence.

The study revealed that the majority of respondents were adolescents aged 16-20 years, predominantly female and from low-income families. The school-based mental health programs were found to be moderately implemented, with counseling services, mental health awareness campaigns, and stress management workshops being the most frequently employed strategies. Significant relationships were found between family income and the perception of program implementation, with students from lower-income families facing more barriers to accessing resources. The findings indicate that while key mental health strategies are in place, there is a need for improvement in resource accessibility and community involvement. The study highlights the importance of addressing socioeconomic disparities and strengthening partnerships with external mental health professionals to enhance the overall effectiveness of the programs. Further research is needed to assess the long-term impact and sustainability of these initiatives.
