TI - Auto lock : : nas laboratory multi-factor access device with fingerprint and rfid technology / N1 - Undergraduate Theses (BSIT) - Information Technology; Includes bibliographical references N2 - The NAS Laboratory at CSPC faced security issues due to reliance on traditional man-ual locks, leading to unwanted access and ineffective tracking of laboratory utilization. This study developed an innovative auto-lock system with multi-factor authentication for faculty, combining fingerprint recognition and RFID card technology, while students used RFID cards only. The proposed solution improves security, access control, and attendance tracking through dual-factor authentication, utilizing surveys and interviews for data col-lection and continuous improvement. System validation used black-box testing, including system Testing with an overall Functionality rating of 1.00 Completely Functional, ac-ceptance Testing with 1.00, and scalability testing with a 0.92 average. These ensured functionality, user satisfaction, and performance under increasing demands. The project effectively addressed NAS Laboratory security issues by developing and testing an auto-lock system with multi-factor authentication. Using RFID and fingerprint recognition, the system improved security, minimized human error, and expedited authentication. Black-box testing confirmed it met functional and non-functional requirements-enhancements, ensuring security and usability. Overall, the Auto-Lock system provided a reliable, effi-cient, and accessible solution, significantly improving NAS Laboratory security ER -
