However, this form of power generation still faces challenges in voltage regulation. This study discussed the development of a voltage regulator for a pico-hydro generator and evaluated its performance in voltage regulation under various load conditions. The pico-hydro generator used in this study is rated at 1 KW and was installed at Nalalata Falls, which has an 8-meter head of water and a 0.04 m³/s water flow rate. The design of the voltage regulator was simulated using Proteus Professional 8 and was composed of a step-down transformer, a full-bridge rectifier, capacitive filters, L7812C and L7805C voltage regulators, resistors, and LED. During the testing, the hydro generator produces a fluctuating output voltage that ranges from 122 V to 132 V due to the varying rate of water flow. The developed voltage regulator was evaluated using the voltage regulation formula, and 9.98% was the highest recorded voltage regulation for a full load condition, while 0% was the lowest. With this result, it is concluded that the developed voltage regulator was capable of maintaining a stable DC voltage of 12V and 5V for a load with a maximum current rating of 500 mA.1 aCamasis, Queenie P.eauthor.1 aCruzado, Sarah L.eauthor.1 aDeniña, Roberto B.eauthor.1 aGratil, Kayze S.eauthor. aTabal, Keith Marlon R.eadviser. aTerano, Harold Jan R.echair, panelist. aIsaac, Victor Solito DR.epanelist. aPontillas, Virginia V.epanelist. 2ddcn0cUMhB178diBSECEkUTHm2024 00102ddc4070aCSPCbCSPCcUTHd2025-09-08l0oUTH BSECE B178d 2024p006813UMr2025-09-08 13:46:25t1-1w2025-09-08yUM c30417d30417
