A detachable embroidery conversion system with Python digitizing software was developed, evaluated for accuracy, and underwent simple cost analysis. A CNC plotter-like X-Y table with an embroidery hoop and externally geared Z-axis attachment (32:12 ratio) was developed for embroidery conversion, along with a darning foot for multi-directional sewing. A web-based digitizing software with 3-step Python parsing converts images to embroidery G-Code. The study assessed embroidery system accuracy on closed squares with varying contour widths. Three unique squares (4mm, 6mm, and 8mm contours) with a consistent 25mm outer dimension were digitized and embroidered five times each on cotton fabric. A uniform 0.25mm dot gap and zigzag stitch ensured consistency. Analysis of all 16 segments per design revealed an accuracy of 89.28%, revealing a negative correlation between contour width and accuracy. Wider contours showed decreased accuracy compared to narrower ones, highlighting the significant influence of contour width on the final embroidered shape. The embroidery system fabrication has a substantial cost reduction compared to conventional machines and digitizing software subscription fees, creating a low-cost option for domestic Fabric and Apparel MSEs. The detachable embroidery system's affordability and expanded functionalities position it as a potential driver for embroidery adoption throughout the textile value chain.1 aNillo, John Marlo L.eauthor.1 aPanga, Bethany Anne D.eauthor.1 aRellas, Rose Ann A.eauthor.1 aSilvano, Rico P.eauthor. aCerillo, Jose Eduardo II, B.eadviser. aTabal, Keith Marlon R.echair, panelist. aAbanil, Roner P.epanelist. aMalapo, Vincent E.epanelist.
