It sought to answer the following specific objectives: to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of: age, sex, educational attainment, occupation, family monthly income, and relationship to the child; to identify the extent of awareness of the caregivers on early childhood developmental delays along: language or speech, thinking-cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, and movement-motor skills; to identify the challenges encountered by the caregivers in caring for children with early childhood developmental delays; to identify the relationship between the profile and the extent of awareness of the caregivers on early childhood developmental delays; to test the relationship between the profile and the challenges encountered by the caregivers in caring for children with early childhood developmental delays; to propose a plan to enhance the awareness of caregivers on early childhood developmental delays. This study utilized the descriptive-correlational method of research using a self-made questionnaire as the main data-gathering instrument. The majority of respondents were females, had a family monthly income of less than 9,520 and the parents were the primary people taking care of the child; most were in the age bracket of 26-35 years old, were high school graduates, and were unemployed. Caregivers were very aware of early childhood developmental delays in language or speech, cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, and motor skills. Caregivers sometimes encounter challenges when caring for children with developmental delays, particularly in terms of physical demands, safety concerns, communication hurdles, and access to school and healthcare. There was a strong correlation between the profile and the caregivers' awareness on early childhood developmental delays. The caregivers' knowledge of developmental delays was highly influenced by their educational attainment and age, underscoring the crucial role of education and experience in comprehending child development. The profile sex had a notable correlation to the challenges that caregivers encounter when caring for children with developmental delays. Se ER -
