A quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental research design was employed in this study. Employing Sample mean and frequency distribution. The finding showed that the majority of the regular employees at LGU Buhi preferred to invest in the government sector, specifically in the GSIS. While the main factors that influenced regular employees who are still investing in a private retirement plan in addition to GSIS were the better benefits and investment options. The study also found that even though the GSIS Act successfully provides its objectives, there are still areas that need improvement, such as in services, benefits, required contributions, and years of service. The research recommendations for R.A. 8291 are to implement a GSIS Service Desk, review loan types, establish a Member Advisory Council, enhance the Benefits Package, and reduce the required number of service years.1 aOliva, Arckhia Julie T.eauthor.1 aRamos, Kyla Mae P.eauthor. aSolomo, Jovi O.eadviser. aBarcinilla, Ejay F.echair, panelist. aBersabe, Albert Jorge Emmanuel D.epanelist. aPadrigon, Julyven Marta Fridas M.epanelist.
