The basic purpose of this study is to be able to know the Problems encountered on Filing Practices of Administrative Employees in One Municipality of Camarines Sur, filling practices in LGUs are essential for several reasons. Firstly, they facilitate quick retrieval of information, enabling employees to make informed decisions promptly. Secondly, organized abstract filing systems contribute to transparency and accountability, as they allow for easy tracking of records and their movement within the organizations. Proper filing practices in LGUs help streamline administrative processes, reducing redundancy and improving overall efficiency. Thirty (30) workers of the municipality of LGU Buhi, Camarines Sur, namely: Mayor's Office, Civil Registrar, Business Permit and Municipal Treasurer, who were systematically chosen, served as the respondents. Several best practices have been identified to improve abstract filing practices in LGUs. One key recommendation is the adoption of a standardized filing system, such as the Alphabetical, Geographical and Numerical, to ensure consistency and ease of retrieval. Studies have shown that a well-defined and uniform filling system significantly reduces the time spent searching for documents. Furthermore, proper labeling and indexing of abstract files are crucial. Clear and concise labels, along with a detailed index, enable employees to quickly locate specific documents without the need for extensive searching.
