The respondents were composed of eighty (80) second year students for academic year 2023-2024. The researchers used descriptive method as the main data gathering tool; percentage technique for profile; weighted mean for the perceived manual stenography skills possessed by the respondents, enablers and barriers contributing to manual stenography; rank ordering method to determine the sequence as to which is the first, second and so forth in the rank. As assessing the manual stenography skills of the BSOA students, the following findings revealed in terms of profile of the respondent's majority are 18-20 years old, female, single, attended senior high school in public school, and taken up General Academic Strand (GAS). As to perceived manual stenography however in steno writing, reading steno notes, taking dictations and transcriptions revealed satisfactory. To the enablers contributing to manual stenography skills revealed that students often encountered while the barriers affecting manual stenography skills are occasionally encountered. Based from the salient findings the researchers come up with the following conclusions: the profile of the respondents has an impact with their performance in manual stenography skills. As to perceived manual stenography skills it was concluded that the knowledge of the students in manual stenography was not the exact expectation of the researchers. As to enablers it was concluded that that the respondents were often and occasionally encountered struggles in understanding manual stenography skills. As preferred recommendations students should be trained and guide prior to effectively familiarize the lessons by stimulating strategies and activities. 1 aPeraja, Ronalyn E., eauthor.1 aSabinorio, Kyla Mae E., eauthor.1 aInfante, Leonisa O., eadviser. 1 aMarpuri, Jessica C., epanelist, chair. 1 aZaballa, April V., epanelist. 1 aAdriano, Rolando B., epanelist.
