Some are not aware of the importance about the speech-based on speech recognition for basic windows command to users especially for people with disability that voice could be used to operate windows command. With this. the researchers conducted a study to develop a prototype system to automate the analysis of Applying the Speech Recognition of Basic Windows Commands Using the Voice Activity Detection Algorithm. This study evaluated the performance of the proposed prototype system in terms of speed and accuracy of speech recognition. The study used experimental type of research to evaluate the objectives obtained in the study. In gathering the data, the researchers conducted data analysis and experimentation to achieved the objectives of the study. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted using Weighted Mean also with the evaluated results for Speed and Accuracy to evaluate the performance of the speech recognition prototype system. Analysis of the data showed that the algorithm, techniques and tools and programming languages that were used to create the prototype system are effective in the speech recognition development of the prototype system. Based on the evaluated result of the prototype system in terms of speed is 0.766 or 76% and terms of accuracy is 0.76 or 76 %. Furthermore, based on the given results in terms of speed and accuracy are high. Therefore, VAD algorithm is proved to be implemented to use in creating a speech recognition prototype. 1 aOcera, Vannesa B.,eauthor1 aSales, Ailen E.,eauthor1 aOmorog, Challiz D.,eadviser1 aBenitez, Ian P.,echair, panelist1 aVelasco, Kezia Abegail,epanelist1 aColle, Jonuel Rey,epanelist
